Virginia Moraes, formada em Arte Educação pela Universidade de Brasília, começou sua carreira de designer e artesã de jóias em 1987. A marca da exclusividade de suas jóias é resultado da composição entre materiais não convencionais, processos artesanais de confecção e sua interpretação das formas geométricas.

Em 2003, teve sua jóia em exposição no Victoria & Albert Museum em Londres tendo conquistado o primeiro lugar no concurso ‘Inspired by V&A Collections’.

Sua pesquisa atual concentra-se nas flores secas do cerrado. Com diferentes espécies
e cores, são muito usadas no artesanato popular. Provenientes do centro-oeste do Brasil e comercializadas por todo o país em belos arranjos.

Virginia Moraes graduated in Art Education from the University of Brasilia and began her career as jewellery designer / maker in 1987, characterised by her craftsmanship, non-conventional choice of materials and a creative approach to geometric forms.
In 2003, her Jewell was exhibited at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and was awarded the first place in the “Inspired by V&A Collections.”
Her current research focuses on the dry flowers of the cerrado.
With different types and colours, they are commonly used in popular crafts in the central-western part of Brazil, and sold throughout the country in beautiful arrangements.
