gemas brasileiras são conhecidas por sua beleza e raridade desde os
tempos coloniais, quando abasteceram o mercado de jóias em toda a
Europa. Hoje, o setor de jóias do Brasil acredita que a força para
a exportação de seus produtos não está somente no valor intrínseco
dos materiais nobres, mas no processo de fabricação como um todo.
O país está produzindo jóias de alta qualidade graças a investimentos
em tecnologia, a especialização da mão-de-obra e, principalmente,
ao design. O Brasil do século XXI acredita que no design reside o
diferencial para a expansão de seus mercados.
Nesta atmosfera de criatividade e produtividade, em 1998 surgiu JOIASdoBRASIL.com,
reunindo designers e artistas joalheiros das mais diversas regiões
do país, que até então
atuavam de forma isolada. Hoje, é um movimento no qual o intercâmbio
de idéias, técnicas e materiais proporciona reflexão sobre novos rumos
para a joalheria brasileira contemporânea.
Brazilian Jewellery Show - Inspired by Nature, apresenta como proposta
a inovação na forma e na escolha dos materiais, ressaltando temas
de relevância mundial como o uso racional e sustentável da biodiversidade
em respeito ao meio ambiente.
Neste início do século XXI, acreditamos que a inspiração na natureza
é o grande diferencial para a criação da jóia com design "made
in Brazil".

Brazilian
gemstones have been famous for their beauty and rarity since colonial
times when they supplied jewellery markets throughout Europe. Nowadays,
the jewellery sector in Brazil is aware that the force behind exporting
is not solely in the intrinsic value of its precious materials, but
in the production process viewed as a whole. The country manufactures
high quality jewellery thanks to investments in technology, in the
specialisation of its craftspeople, and most importantly, in design.
Brazil in the 21st century believes in design as the key element for
the expansion of its markets.
In this atmosphere of creativity and productivity, in 1998, JOIASdoBRASIL.com
was created to bring together designers, artists and jewellers of
the most diverse regions of the country, who had previously operated
isolatedly. Today, it is a movement in which the exchange of ideas,
techniques and materials incites thoughts and defines new directions
for contemporary Brazilian jewellery.
Brazilian Jewellery Show – Inspired by Nature - proposes innovation
in form and in choice of materials, subscribing to relevant world
themes such as the rational and sustainable exploration of biodiversity
and respect for the environment.
At the beginning of the 21st century we believe that nature inspired
design can be the
distinctive feature of “made in Brazil” jewellery.
