- Brazilian Jewellery Show - Inspired by Nature

com grande prazer que a Embaixada do Brasil em Londres apresenta a
exposição JOIASdoBRASIL.com. A mostra reúne o trabalho de dez designers
brasileiros que usam a diversidade cultural brasileira como referência.
A exuberância das paisagens brasileiras é adaptada pelos artistas
em peças que remetem aos
adornos dos indígenas, primeiros habitantes do que viria a ser o Brasil,
que, desconhecendo os
metais e as gemas, encontraram no seu habitat natural material que
resultaria em obras
artesanais de valor universal.
Esta exposição oferece ao público a oportunidade de conhecer o trabalho
de dez artistas que,
unidos na tentativa de transcender a dimensão utilitária da jóia,
buscam nas singularidades
do Brasil inspiração para novas expressões da joalheria contemporânea
brasileira."

Brazilian Embassy in London have great pleasure in presenting JOIASdoBRASIL.com
an
exhibition of jewellery by ten Brazilian designers who have based
their work on the cultural
diversity to be found in Brazil.
The exuberance of the landscape is reflected by the artists in jewellery
reminiscent of the
adornments used by the indigenous people of what would come to be
Brazil. Unaware of
metals and gemstones, they found in their natural habitat materials
that would be transformed
into artefacts of stunning beauty.
This exhibition gives the public the opportunity to appreciate ten
artists who, united in their
desire to transcend the merely utilitarian aspect of jewellery, have
sought in the uniqueness
of Brazil the inspiration to create a new means of expression through
their work."
